Goldilocks and the Three Bears

Once upon a time, in a quiet forest, a bear family lived in a cozy little house.

There was Papa Bear, a Mama Bear, and a Baby Bear.

One morning, Mama Bear made some porridge for breakfast.

“It’s too hot to eat right now,” she said.

So the three bears went for a walk while the

porridge cooled.

Not long after, a little girl named Goldilocks was walking through the forest.

She saw the bears’ house and felt very curious.

She knocked on the door.

No one answered.

Goldilocks should have turned away — but instead, she opened the door and went inside.

As she walked inside, she saw the three bowls of porridge on the table.

This made her feel hungry. So, she went ahead and started to taste the porridge.

She tasted Papa Bear’s porridge.

“Too hot! , she said.

Then she tasted Mama Bear’s porridge.

“Too cold! , she said.

Then she tasted Baby Bear’s porridge.

“Just right!”

She ate it all up.

Next, Goldilocks saw three chairs.

After having eaten the porridge, Goldilocks thought it will be nice to relax a little on one of those chairs.

She sat on Papa Bear’s chair.

“Too hard!”, she said.

Then she sat on Mama Bear’s chair.

“Too soft!”, she said.

Then she sat on Baby Bear’s chair.

“Just right!”, she was about to say, but then – CRACK!

Baby bear’s chair broke as Goldilocks sat on it.

Feeling tired, Goldilocks ignored the broken chair and went upstairs.

There she found three beds.

She tried Papa Bear’s bed.

“Too hard!”, she said.

Then she tried Mama Bear’s bed.

“Too soft!” she said.

The she tried Baby Bear’s bed.

“Just right!, she said.

Soon, she fell fast asleep.

After some time, the three bears came back home.

They were shocked to see that someone had tasted their porridge. And baby bear’s porridge was all eaten!

Someone had sat in their chairs. And baby bear’s chair was broken!

Looking further, they went upstairs.

“Someone’s in my bed!” cried Baby Bear.

Goldilocks woke up and saw the three bears.

Her eyes grew wide with fear. But, instead of running away, she sat up and took a deep breath.

“I’m very sorry”, Goldilocks said softly.

“I should not have come into your house and eaten your food without asking. And I didn’t mean to break your chair”

The bears looked at each other.

Then, Mama Bear smiled kindly.

“Don’t be scared. Looks like you were tired and hungry.”, she said.

Papa Bear nodded.

“Everyone makes mistakes,” he said. “What matters is telling the truth and saying sorry.”

Baby Bear smiled too.

The bears forgave Goldilocks and gently showed her the way home.

Goldilocks waved goodbye and promised to remember what she had learned.

From that day on, she always asked permission, respected other people’s things, and said sorry when she made a mistake.

The end.
